Roma Dünyasının Türkiye’nin Batı Orta Anadolu’sundaki Bitişi: Ekonomik İzolasyon Hiç Krize Çözüm Oldu mu?

Proje Özeti:

This project aims to investigate the economic and social resilience of urban and rural communities in Roman western-central Anatolia between the 4 th and 7 th c. AD, a period of great change that scholars indicate as the end of the Roman World. I focus on the greater Roman Province of Galatia (the region roughly bordered by the modern cities of Eskişehir, Isparta, Konya, and Ankara) as it has mostly been neglected by modern scholars in spite of the ample archaeological and historical evidence available.
