Three Types of Morality: A New Perspective on the Ideological Currents of the Late Ottoman Empire and the Early Turkish Republic

Three ideological currents determined the fate of Turkey: Turkism, Islamism and Westernization. Just like they had different political views, their understanding of and approach to morality differed. This project focuses on the content and sources of these different morality perceptions in the late Ottoman Empire and the early Republican era.
