Ampirik Sosyal ve Davranış Bilimlerinde Teori İnşası

The project addresses the need to develop point predicting theoretical hypotheses in the empirical social & behavioral sciences (ESBS) from a philosophy of science perspective. We draw on insights into how empirical theories are constructed in the hard sciences. Based on these insights, we develop a theory-construction toolbox that rests on a spatial (geometric) conception of conceptual knowledge. Project results help ESBS researchers to do more with the data they collect, namely to construct, and validate, sophisticated empirical theories.
